A cephalosporin compound substituted by imidazolium ring in 3-position of cephem having the following formula (I), and pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, (I) wherein P is or wherein R1 is wherein R9 is C2-C6 alkenyl or C2-C6 alkynyl; R2 is hydrogen or methoxy; R4 is C2-C12 alkenyl or C2-C12 alkynyl; and n is 0 or 1, is useful as an agent for preventing and treating bacterial infections.
