PURPOSE:To reduce the burden of a hardware by outputting separately picture element information for showing a color or luminance of each picture element, and depth information for showing a distance to a hidden surface processing means from a processor and executing the hidden surface processing. CONSTITUTION:The hidden surface processing is executed, based on picture element information 94 and depth information 95 given by different timings to a hidden surface processing part 2 from a processor 1. That is, the picture element information 94 for showing a color or luminance of each picture element obtained from an image of a processing object, and the depth information 95 for showing a distance extending from a visual point of each picture element to its object are inputted separately to the hidden surface processing part 2 from the processor, and in the case of the depth information 95, it is compared with depth information of the corresponding picture element stored already in a depth information storage means 251, and when it is shown to be near from the visual point, the contents of the depth information storage means 251 are rewritten. In such a way, a high speed processing can be executed by a small hardware quantity. |
