<p>PURPOSE:To appear on a screen for an operator by providing an image pickup means to pick up a subject, position detecting means for the object and picture display means and synthesizing the object on the picture of the display means based on the output of the detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The image is picked up through an index member (pointing device) 12 carried or mounted by the operator as an object 11 and an image pickup means 13 such as a video camera or the like and while detecting the motion of this pointing device 12, the image of the operator is made coincident in the picture produced by a computer or the like by the method of a chroma key or superimpose. Otherwise, the picture further working the image of the operator is synthesized to a video picture or the like. Thus, the operator can appear in the picture projected by the display means, and the background picture can be obtained as a picture related to the operator.</p> |
