PURPOSE:To change the direction of a strip in a noncontact state by spraying molten zinc from a plurality of nozzles arranged along a curved line corresponding to the changing angle of a section for changing the direction of the strip. CONSTITUTION:In a galvanizing vessel 3 the surface 40 of a strip 4 is passed by a nozzle 1 with a pluraity of nozzle holes 11 arranged along the semicircular part 101 of a heat insulating nozzle body 10 having a hollow part 102. Molten zinc circulated with a molten zinc feeder 2 composed of a suction pipe 20, a pump 21 and a feed pipe 22 is sprayed from the nozzle holes 11, and by the dynamic pressure the direction of the strip 4 is changed along the place of the nozzle 1 in a noncontact state at a fixed distance from the roll body 10. Since the strip 4 does not contact with the nozzle 1 and the roll body 10, it does not wear out, and little dross is formed, resulting in a higher operation rate of the apparatus and enhanced quality of the product. |
