HIGH-DENSITY COMPOSITE MATERIALS ESSENTIALLY BASED ON POLYISOCYANURATE

High-density composite materials essentially based on polyisocyanurate, having a density equal to or higher than 500 kg/m3 and containing reinforcing fillers, in which the polyisocyanurate prepolymer derives from a repeating structural unit having the formula: (I) wherein at least one X represents group -R1-NCO and at least one X represents group -R1-NH-CO-OR2-(-OCO-NH-R1-NCO)n. The composite materials are useful in sheet moulding and other analogous techniques such as flow moulding and bulk moulding.
