摘要 PURPOSE:To discriminate a burr direction by irradiating an edge part of the press punched article and detecting the intensity distribution of reflected light through an image sensor. CONSTITUTION:A projector 12 and the image sensor 13 are arranged at specific position above the press punched article P to constitute a burr direction discriminating machine. Then, the edge part of the punched article P is irradiated with light by the projection 12 and the intensity of reflected light from the edge part by the sensor 13. If there is a burr part (a) on the reverse of the punched article P, the light illuminates a roll-over part on the top and the sensor 13 detects the peak of the intensity of reflected light from the roll-over part (b). When there is the buur on the top, the intensity of the reflected light from the edge part has no peak and is almost smooth. Thus, it is decided which side of the top and reverse parts the burr part is formed from whether the reflected light intensity has a peak or not.
