MULTIFUNCTIONAL IC CARD SYSTEM PROVIDED WITH AUTHORIZATION AND PREPAID FUNCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To enable a card to be used in multi-purpose applications by providing a prepaid function part and a prepaid data storage part selector provided in common to plural prepaid data storage parts at an IC card. CONSTITUTION:The IC card is equipped with an optical signal transmission/ reception part 15, a prepaid data processing function part 16, and the prepaid data storage part selector 17. In such a case, data input/output with noncontact is performed between a terminal provided with an optical communication function similarly by using the optical communication function of the IC card, or the selection of desired service and the input/output operation of the data are performed by operating a keyboard on the terminal or the IC card by inserting the IC card to the IC card reader/writer of the terminal. Thereby, it is possible to execute charge settlement for a various kinds of service by one card with extremely simple procedure.
