PURPOSE:To vary musical sound characteristics by angle variation by setting the tilt angle at which a carried performance object is held for longer a constant time as a reference angle when the object is held at the tilt angle for longer than the constant time, and controlling the characteristics of a musical sound generated corresponding to the difference from the current absolute angle of the performance object. CONSTITUTION:When a player varies the carried performance object to an optional tilt angle, the tilt angle is detected as the absolute angle by an absolute angle detecting means 11 and a reference angle setting means 12 sets the absolute angle as the reference angle. Then an angle difference arithmetic means 12 calculates the angle difference between the reference angle set by the reference angle setting means 12 and the current absolute angle detected by the absolute angle detecting means 11 and a musical sound control means 12 controls the characteristics of the musical sound according to the angle difference. Therefore, the musical sound which is controlled by a musical sound characteristic control means 12 has characteristics corresponding to the variation angle from the reference angle. Consequently, musical sound characteristics corresponding to the angle of the performance object can be controlled corresponding to the playing attitudes of individual players. |
