摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To save labor for reconnecting a cable with connector before changing a mode by changing the mode by both a hardware and a software. CONSTITUTION:A control part 18 of a line terminal equipment (DTE) 11 is equipped with an RS232C interface. When executing synchronous communication, this RS232C interface has two timing control modes such as an ST1 mode to get transmission timing based on the own clock when being observed from the DTE (the equipment itself) and an ST2 mode to get transmission timing reversely based on the clock of a DCE (slave device). In this case, the ST1 mode and the ST2 mode can be switched by the software and selected by the hardware as well. Thus, it is not necessary to prepare the cable corresponding to each mode, and labor for reconnecting the cable is saved.</p>
