PURPOSE:To prepare a thermal recording material having high sensitivity by adding pigment with oil absorbency of 85ml/100g or more to an undercoat layer as a main component and adding a dye precursor, a developer and sensitizer to a thermal recording layer along with pigment with oil absorbency of 80ml/100g or less. CONSTITUTION:As an undercoat layer, inorg. or org. pigment is used and, as oil absorbable pigment with oil absorbency of 85ml/100g or more, there is no special limit in the kind thereof. As the pigment with oil absorbency of 85ml/100g or less used in a thermal recording layer, there is no special limit in the kind thereof. The use ratio of a dye precursor and a developer is appropriately selected corresponding to the kind of the dye precursor or developer to be used and there is no special limit but the developer is used is an amount of 15-300 pts.wt., pref., 60-200 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the dye precursor. The use amount of the sensitizer contained in the thermal recording layer is not necessarily limited. |
