<p>PURPOSE:To easily compress a color data while being even code numbers in the case of executing a compression processing by applying the same code number to the color data of picture elements adjacent to another divided screen in the respective divided screens as the code number of the color data of picture elements in the other adjacent divided screen. CONSTITUTION:Under the control of a control processing unit 1, the picture elements of the color number data are read out one by one from a RAM 5 to a picture display unit 6, and based on a screen data stored in a RAM 4, correspondent pallet data are read out from a RAM 3 so as to color the respective picture elements. When preparing the picture data of a bit map system using the pallet in this way, the same code number as that of the color data of picture elements in the other adjacent divided screen is applied to the color data of picture elements adjacent to the other divided screen in the respective divided screens. Thus, the code numbers of the color data are frequently even between the adjacent divided screens, and the picture data can be satisfactorily compressed.</p> |
