The facsimile includes a central processing section (2), a modulating and demodulating section (1), and an interfacing circuit for a privacy device (6). The modulating and demodulating section (1) is connected through parallel buses (PA) to the central processing section (2) to transmit 300 bps control signals. The other end of the section (1) is connected to an NCU (network control unit), and a decoding and buffering section (3) is connected to both the section (10) and to the central processing section (2) to transmit high speed data. All the signals of RS-232C are supplied to a privacy interface circuit (100) which is connected to the privacy device (6).
