PURPOSE:To obtain a large guaranteed marginal value at comparatively low cost by using an EEPROM which has a small guaranteed marginal value but is comparatively inexpensive, switching its data storage areas and performing access repeatedly. CONSTITUTION:A comparatively inexpensive nonvolatile memory 1 having the guaranteed marginal value [assuming as (m) times] that is less than the number of accesses [(n) times] is used, a control means 3 performs control in switching to other memory areas each time when the number of times of accesses to each of the (k) memory areas M1 - Mk of the memory counted by a counter means 2 reaches (m) times, and the access is performed repeatedly for (k) times (m X k = n). Thus, by using the memory that is comparatively inexpensive and small in the guaranteed marginal value, the largest number of accesses equivalent to the memory having comparatively expensive and large guaranteed marginal value is realized.
|
