发明名称 LAMINATED PIEZO-ELECTRIC ELEMENT
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of chipping and cracks by performing chamfering on the edge sections of slits formed perpendicularly to the laminated direction on two parallel side faces of a laminated body built by alternately piling up piezo-electric material layers and internal electrode layers. CONSTITUTION:Slits of a prescribed depth are formed by machine work at positions which are not symmetfical with respect to the central axis of a laminated body on side faces of the laminated body symmetrical with respect to the central axis at every other internal electrode layers 2. Then edge sections of the slits are chamfered with sandpaper, etc. The chamfering is performed to a section 7 of about 0.1-0.2mm from the end of each edge and the angle of the edge sections is set at about 90 deg. or more on the side faces of the laminated body. Therefore, a highly reliable piezo-electric element which can maintain a stable expanding/contracting characteristic for a long period can be obtained, because the stress concentration which tends to be produced at the edge section of the slits can be relieved remarkably.</p>
