<p>PURPOSE:To automatically collect a parking charge and to automatically detect a vehicle left for a long period by reading the number plate information of the vehicle respectively at the entrance and exit of the parking lot. CONSTITUTION:An entrance image pickup part 1 and an exit image pickup part 2 respectively pickup the front image of the approaching vehicle including the number plate at the entrance and exit of the toll parking lot, and a number plate information detection part 3 analyzes the picture information pickup up at the entrance image pickup part 1 or the exit image pickup part 2 and the detects the number plate information existent on the number plate. A number plate information recognition part 4 recognizes the number plate information detected by the number plate information detection part 3, and a number plate information collation and comparison part 5 compares the number plate information respectively read at the entrance and the exit and obtains the time information according to the matched number plate information. Thus, the parking charge can be automatically collected, and any unclear vehicle such as the left one or the like can be automatically detected.</p> |
