<p>Aluminium (alloy) coatings on metal surfaces are subjected to a hydrothermal treatment at 80-200 degrees C, in an aq. medium or pref. in steam under an elevated pressure, whereby aluminium meta- and orthohydrates are formed, which are resistant to corrosion by acid and alkaline media. Esp. useful for protection of reinforcing elements in concrete.</p> |
