PURPOSE:To greatly improve the responsiveness of an AF operation at the end of wide-angle macrophotography AF by properly controlling a focusing lens at the time of the initialization of the wide-angle macrophotography AF or the postprocessing of the wide-angle macrophotography AF. CONSTITUTION:When a focusing state is entered at the start of the wide-angle macrophotography AF, a focus motor 10 is stopped to stop a front focusing lens 1A. When the focusing state is not obtained at the start of the wide-angle macrophotography AF operation, the focusing lens 1A is driven in its current moving direction for a specific time or by a specific distance and then the focusing lens 1A is stopped. When it is judged that the front lens focusing lens is in a telephoto macrophotography area, the front lens focusing lens is driven to the nearest end of a normal area in the infinite-distance direction at the highest speed. Thus, the focus motor is properly controlled according to the focusing state at the start of the wide-angle macrophotography AF operation to eliminate noises and save the electric power, thereby improving the initial responsiveness of the normal AF operation after the wide-angle macrophotography AF operation. |
