Method for mobilizing a work bench intended for heavy objects, in particular a so-called levelling bench for vehicles. The bench is of the type which is supported by a support structure resting on the ground and is designed to be raised from this with the aid of at least a single- acting lifting cylinder while being moved parallel to the said support structure. According to the method, the work bench in the lifted state is provided with support wheels only under one end, after which the bench is lowered until these support wheels cooperate with the surface and support wheels can also be mounted under one end of the support structure. Thereafter, the bench is raised again until support wheels can also be mounted under its other end, after which the bench is again lowered until its support wheels cooperate with the surface in order to permit the desired movement of the bench. The invention also concerns a work bench which has been modified for application of this method. <IMAGE> |
