PURPOSE:To obtain the ultrasonic probe which can be manufactured simply in an arbitrary shape by forming integrally a signal leading-out means and a housing, and thereafter, placing and fixing an ultrasonic vibrator, and executing the electrical connection. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part 7 for positioning and placing an ultrasonic vibrator 5 and a signal leading-out means 2 provided in the vicinity of a provided position of a vibrator electrode 6 are provided integrally by forming, respectively at the time of forming of a housing 1. Subsequently, to the recessed part 7 of the formed housing 1, a vibrator 5 is fixed by adhesion, etc. The end part of the electrode 6 of this fixed vibrator 5 and the signal leading-out means 2 are connected by a conductive member 3. Also, in order to insulate electrically the periphery of the vibrator, an electric conductive part of the periphery of the vibrator is sealed by an insulating material 4. In this regard, the ultrasonic vibrator 5 is constituted by laminating an acoustic matching layer 11, a piezoelectric element 9, and a packing material 10 in order from the upper part, and the vibrator electrode 6 is provided on both the upper and the lower faces of the piezoelectric element 9. |
