PURPOSE:To improve a gas absorption characteristic at the time of rapid charging by manufacturing an electrode by using a hydrogen absorbing alloy and a binder followed by performing electrolysis in a nickel nitrate solution having aforesaid electrode as a negative electrode and later by dipping it into an alkaline solution in which a reducer is added and removing the binder after adding fluorine resin. CONSTITUTION:After manufacturing an electrode by using a hydrogen absorbing alloy and a binder, electrolysis is performed in a nickel nitrate solution having aforesaid electrode as a negative electrode. Later, it is dipped into an alkaline solution, in which a reducer such as hydrazine hydrate or sodium boron hydride is added, later fluorine resin is added and the binder previously added is removed. Thereby, a gas absorption characteristic especially at the time of rapid charging of an enclosed type accumulator using a hydrogen absorbing alloy electrode as a negative electrode is improved. |
