1,274,573. Foot operated switches. GRUNDIG E.M.V. ELEKTRO - MECHANISCHE VERSUCHSANSTALT INH. MAX GRUNDIG. 21 Aug., 1970 [21 Aug., 1969], No. 40424/70. Heading H1N. A foot-operable switch comprises two housing shells 1, 2 held together by bayonet type joints 3, 4 and urged apart by a blade spring 7 so that the upper housing part can be rocked with respect to the lower part to operate one or both of a pair of snap-acting switching units 14, 15 installed in the lower part. A ball 8 is placed between the spring 7 and upper housing part 1. The switching units 14, 15 are placed so that if the blade spring 7 is depressed a short distance one unit 14 is operated and if it is depressed further both units are operated; these are achieved respectively by depressing any one edge of the part 1 and by depressing the whole of part 1. A locking slide 22 prevents the bayonet joints being disengaged in use. |
