PURPOSE:To guarantee the stability for high speed running of a tape speed, by supporting the bottom surface of a reel base plate through a through-hole by a projecting base, which is arranged on the cassette loading surface of a recording and reproducing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette is inserted into a cassette box a control lever 31 is driven against a spring 31a in the direction as indicated with an arrow 32b, and a control plate 26 is rotated. And, the stop state of elevator bodies 51, 52 is released, and at the same time opening ports 36a-36c and through-holes 38a, 38b are made to communicate with opening ports 35a-35c, 34a-34c and through-holes 37a, 37b, respectively. When the cassette box is set to a recording and reproducing mechanism part in said state, elevator bodies 51, 52 are pushed up by a push-up body 56, and a head mechanism 14, a capstan 15 and a pinch roller 16 are set to the inside circumference part of a reel 12. In this case, projecting bases 59a, 59b... provided on the recording and reproducing mechanism surface are inserted through the opening ports 34a, 34c, 36a, 36c, and the through-holes 37a, 37b, 38a, 38b which are in the communicating state, so that a reel base plate 24 is supported directly. |
