PURPOSE:To enable a thermal recording material which is excellent in both adhesion of an overcoat layer even under a high humidity condition and shelf life under high temperature high humidity conditions to be obtained by a method wherein water ionizing radiation setting resin is contained in an intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate layer is established on a thermal recording layer, and water soluble resin and/or water dispersive resin and water ionizing radiation setting resin are contained in the intermediate layer. Further, a content of the water ionizing radiation setting resin is mixed within a range of 0.1-80 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of water soluble resin or water dispersive resin of an intermediate layer adhesive. A pigment is added into the intermediate layer in order to raise smoothness. After sufficiently dispersing by mixing with a mixing stirrer, it is applied onto the thermal recording layer to be dried, and a resin component is cured by irradiation treatment with an electron curtain type electron beam irradiation device. |
