摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide a metallic material with massive feeling similar to that of noble metals and to improve its workability and corrosion resistance by forming the metallic material of a sintered body essentially consisting of W and contg. a prescribed amt. of transition metals as secondary components. CONSTITUTION:A metallic material having high specific gravity is formed of a sintered body contg., by weight, 0.1 to 20% of one or more kinds selected from Ni, Cu, Co, Fe, Re, Pt and Au and the balance W with inevitable impurities. W has high density and can give massive feeling to a product. It has the high m.p., furthermore has high hardness, is chemically stable as well and gives corrosion resistance, wear resistance and scuffing resistance to the metallic material. The metals as secondary components to be added improve the workability of the metallic material, moreover reduce the sintering temp. of W to relax the manufacturing conditions and moreover bond the raw material powder with each other at the time of sintering to form a dense and solid sintered body. In this way, sporting goods and precision parts having massive feeling equal to or above that of noble metals can be offered at low cost.</p>
