<p>PURPOSE:To avoid heat shock and prevent a coating film from cracking, by providing a hard foamed urethane layer on the inside surface of a metal tank and providing a layer of saponified copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate on the former layer. CONSTITUTION:A hard foamed urethane layer 2 is provided on the inside surface 1 of a metal tank. A layer 3 of saponified copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate is provided on the former layer 2. Since such a tank construction is provided, heat shock is avoided and the coating film does not crack even at a low or very low temperature of 0--167 deg.C. No curing period is needed from the production of the saponified copolymer layer 3 to the filling of LNG or the like.</p> |
