The invention relates to a machine for producing bunches of flowers. This machine comprises, firstly, means for packaging flower buds by means of a film unreeled manually from a reel (4), including a receptacle (6), a portal structure (12) equipped with an upper cross-piece (13) provided with a heating element capable of welding (sealing) the film, and means for displacing this portal structure which are capable of bringing the heating element into contact on one of the walls (7) of the receptacle (6). The machine comprises, in addition to the means for binding the stems, including a fixed element (33) for supporting the stems, a movable carriage (40) carrying binding heads connected by a wire (thread) (47), means (49) for longitudinal displacement of this carriage (40) adapted to bring the wire (47) around the stems, and means (44) for relative displacement of the binding heads capable of bringing the latter into a state of cooperation. <IMAGE>
