<p>Refractory moulding batches forming fire-resistive building materials of high flexural strength, contain (a) 100 wt. pts. hydraulic inorganic mixt. with (i) a cpd. contg. mainly SiO2 esp. quartz, SiO2 sand, aplite, pottery clay, silicate, kaolin, diaspore, kieselguhr or flue dust, and (ii) a cpd. contg. mainly CaO, esp. cement, opt. slaked lime, CaCO3 or gypsum, where (ii):(i) ratio is 0.5:2 (b) 10-200 wt. pts. mineral, esp. asbestos, fibres, and (c) one of (1) mixt. of =10 wt. pts. organic fibres and 1 wt. pts. thermoplastic or thermosetting polymer; (2) =20 wt. pts. thermoplastic or thermosetting polymer; (3) =5 wt. pts. bitumen; (4) =2 wt. pts. alkylcellulose resin soluble or swelling in water and (5) 15 wt. pts. crystalline Al oxide.</p> |
