PURPOSE:To improve the sealing performance and durability by fixing a plate- like reinforcing metal ring having a plurality of projections abutted on the internal surface of a cavity for supporting a metal ring main body in the floating state and a plurality of holes formed between the projections thereby charging the cavity with a rubber material. CONSTITUTION:A metal ring 13 has a plurality of projections 14 formed in a conical or pyramid shape at such positions as being circumferentially spaced in an interval, and a plurality of circular holes 15 formed between respective projections 14. In the above metal ring 13, the projections 14 are abutted on the internal surface 12a of a cavity 12 corresponding to the back surface of a base portion 16a of a rubber made sealing member 16 formed by the cavity 12, and a metal ring main body 13a is fixed in such a manner as to be floated in the cavity 12. As the cavity 12 is charged with unvalcanized rubber material, the rubber material is made to be freely moved on both the sides of the metal ring main body 13a through the circular holes 15, to be preferably formed. In the above, the metal ring 13 is not applied with a pressure because of the poor flow of the rubber material. |
