EXAMPLE:alpha-(2-thienyl)-alpha-amino-thioacetamide. USE:An intermediate for producing N-acyl-alpha-amino-thioacetamide based agricultural/horticultural germicides. PREPARATION:A reaction is made between (A) an alpha-aminoacetonitrile derivative of formula III and (B) hydrogen sulfide in the presence of a carbonyl compound of formula IV (R3 and R4 are each H, alkyl, alkenyl, phenyl, naphthyl, etc.) into a novel imidazolidine-4-thione derivative of formula V, which is then put to solvolysis in the presence of an acid catalyst, thus obtaining the objective compound of the formula I. |
