The present invention makes it possible economically to modify vehicles so that the brake lights and indicators which were previously a single light (brake/indicator) conform to the separate lights standard. Prior coding of the brake signal allows easy and immediate distinguishing, because followed by decoding, of the brake and indicator signals relayed by one and the same electric wire. <IMAGE>
