PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of print quality by once supplying ink recovered by recovery means to the bottom of an ink recovery container under natural stream through a buffer container and making the ink, whose material property is adjusted already in the ink recovery container to which a solvent is supplied, circulate in the buffer container through a stirring passage. CONSTITUTION:Ink recovered by recovery means is once supplied under the natural stream to the bottom of an ink recovery container 33 through a buffer container 29. The ink whose material property is adjusted already in the ink recovery container 33 to which a solvent is supplied is circulated in the buffer container 29 through a stirring passage, so that the material property of the ink is unified by stirring the supplied solvent and precipitated pigment. Thus, the adjustment of the material property of the ink to be returned to an ink retaining container 12 from the ink recovery container 33 becomes accurate and deterioration of print quality can be prevented. |
