The invention relates to a skating boot for ice or with small wheels in line, characterised in that it includes a rigid sole (5), a flexible short boot-style trainer (6), and a rigid rear stirrup piece (9) rigidly associated with the sole (5) and extending on each side of the rear part (7) of the trainer (6) over the greater part of its height in order to hold the foot and prevent lateral flexing of the ankle, while still permitting forward and rearward flexing, the boot (1) having essentially the appearance and characteristics of a basketball boot. <IMAGE>
