PURPOSE:To obtain a driver for a piezoelectric actuator for proving high reliability while separating a driving unit from the actuator by providing a coupling connector for detachably coupling the actuator to the unit. CONSTITUTION:A female part 4a of a coupling connector 4 is provided at the end 2'' of a case 2' containing a driving unit 2, and a male part 4b is provided at the end 3'' of a case 3' containing a piezoelectric actuator 3. A protrusion 5 is formed at the end 2'' of the case 2'. When the part 4b of the connector 4 is inserted to the part 4a at the end 3'' of the case 3' and the actuator 3 is coupled to the unit 2, the protrusion 5 is brought into contact with a leaf spring 7, and the spring 7 is displaced against the energizing force of the spring 7, thereby shutting OFF the connection of the spring 7 to a terminal 8. Thus, the actuator 3 is coupled to the unit 2 to become a nonpshort-circuiting state. |
