The present invention relates to a bearing for the rotational guidance of a shaft, such, for example, as an internal combustion engine crank shaft. This bearing mainly consists of two half-bodies (2, 3) joined along a joining plane (4) orthogonal to the direction (D) of the main loads to which the shaft to be guided is subjected, so as to exhibit an internal and cylindrical surface (29, 39) forming a bearing surface for the shaft or for an interposed bearing bush (brass) (7), a peripheral groove (8) emerging at the centre of this surface and fitting in with a duct (9) for conveying lubrication liquid for allowing a film of oil to be created between the fixed parts (2, 3, 7) and moving parts, the peripheral groove (8) exhibiting a variable cross-section, with a substantially constant surface area over the entire periphery of this section. The invention applies to the manufacture of bearings for the rotational guidance of shafts of all types. <IMAGE> |
