PURPOSE:To detect the pole position of a rotor of a motor only by an encoder by obtaining a voltage vector corresponding to a minimum value of a motor current, and detecting a position corresponding to the obtained vector as a pole position of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage vector V1 is varied to V6 from an inverter to sequentially vary the phase of a rotating magnetic flux generated from a stator in addition to the winding of a motor, the reactance of the stator becomes maximum when the pole generated at the stator coincides with that of the rotor, and becomes small when it does not coincide. Then, when the rotor is fixed when the motor is started and a mode of a voltage vector is previously sequentially varied from V1 to V6 at each predetermined time from an arithmetic circuit, the phase of a rotating magnetic flux is varied. Thus, a DC current corresponding to the motor current is varied, and it can be detected if the corresponding pole of the rotor is disposed in the phase of the rotating pole corresponding to the mode of the voltage vector indicating a minimum value. |
