PURPOSE:To softly start charging and to improve charging efficiency by providing a duty variably drive circuit for varying the duty of an input pulse in response to the number of input charging pulses. CONSTITUTION:A duty variably driving circuit 1 for varying a duty in response to the number of input charging pulses in such a manner that a resistor of a discharge circuit is removed, is provided. It is charged up to a charging pulse N1 by increasing a pulse width by T1 based on an optimum pulse width T1 corresponding to the number N1 of charging pulses obtained by measuring. The operation to the number N1 corresponds to so called 'soft starting'. Then, up to the number N2 of charging pulses, it is charged by a predetermined pulse width T2. This operation is repeated up to the number Nn of charging pulses. That is, if the relationship between the number N of the charging pulses obtained by previously measuring and the pulse width T is written to be stored in a memory of the circuit 1, an optimum charging operation can be performed while suitably varying the pulse width T in response to the number M of the input charging pulses. |
