<p>PURPOSE:To obtain vivid color prints by making it possible to set transfer temperatures for 3 primary color inks individually and setting the transfer temperature of a succeeding primary color ink higher than that of a preceding primary color ink. CONSTITUTION:In a color thermal printer, a thermal transfer ink ribbon 3 in which 3 primary color inks are arranged in a continuous state and a recording paper 4 on which data is to be printed are conveyed in a polymeric state to a contact part of a thermal head 1 and a platen roller 2 where they are contacted with pressure. When a printing with 1 primary color ink for 1 page is completed, the recording paper 4 is returned for the 1 page so as to print with a next primary color ink. Thermal temperatures for each of the 3 primary color inks can be set individually and the transfer temperature of a succeeding primary color ink is set higher than that of a preceding primary color ink. This color thermal printer is provided with 3 density adjusting trimmers 5a, 5b, and 5c in which the transfer temperatures can be adjusted individually for yellow, magenta, and cyan. Accordingly, vivid color prints without color irregularity at the time of printing can be obtained.</p> |
