1276252 Bus-bar duct; direct connections FEDERAL PACIFIC ELECTRIC CO 18 Feb 1970 [11 April 1969] 7879/70 Headings H2C and H2E [Also in Division H1] A bus duet comprises a plurality of flat individually insulated bus-bars A, B, C, N, packed together in an elongate housing formed by joining together two aluminium channels 26, 28, the faces and at least one edge of the bus-bar assembly being in good thermal contact with the housing. The structure is strengthened by J-shaped steel flanges 40 set far from the bus-bars to minimize their effect on the impedance, and the assembly is clamped by fasteners 30. The duct is made in unit lengths, e.g. 10 feet, which are clamped together at the ends by an insulated bolt 48, the joint portions being plated with metal of good electrical con - ductivity and the joints are covered by covers 42, 44. |
