Electric solenoid lifting equipment - uses commercially available items for adapting standard roof rack assembly on cams or larger motor vehicle

The roof rack assembly, consisting of two transversely mounted supports (1), is fitted with a central shaft (6) attached to a pair of lifting arms (4) which are raised and lowered by electric motor (5) driven threaded spindle rods (3). The lifting arms (4) move through 180 deg. about the central shaft (6) under motor (5) control and allows suitably mounted loads to be lifted from the side of the vehicle to the roof rack stowage position and back again. USE/ADVANTAGE - Facilitates loading of items such as bicycles onto roof rack using vehicle battery powered lifting aid. Uses standard roof rack with commercially obtainable fittings for adaption purposes. Light weight and cost effective design.
