Solar cell connecting elements - for space vehicles, comprise thin wires

A solar generator for space vehicles, as in the parent patent, has the individual solar cells joined together by a large number of separate wires. Specif. the wires are ultrasonically welded at both ends to the cells and accept mechanical forces, they may be used either alone or in combination with support sheets or bands to fix the solar cells in place. A cyano-acrylate adhesive is pref. used.
