1278020 Interlocking building blocks NEWINVENT SA 7 Oct 1970 [6 July 1970] 47781/ 70 Heading A6S A building unit is provided along at least part of an edge or edges thereof with at least four teeth uniformly pitched and distributed in two rows of two or more on either side of a common medial plane, such that the teeth in one row are offset half a pitch in relation to the teeth of the second row and each tooth of at least one of the rows is provided inside the face thereof i.e. the face facing the other row of teeth, with at least one projection extending beyond the medial plane into the tooth space of the other row and wherein the angle included by the flanks of the teeth or the tangents to the flanks of curved teeth is at least 90‹. In Fig. 5 the inside face of each tooth is convex so that a portion 40 projects beyond plane of symmetry 42. When two such units are joined the teeth deform elastically as shown in Fig. 6. Figs. 7 and 8 show "snaplocking" configurations. |
