The bristles of the bristle strip (1) can be designed differently regarding their length, strength and to suit a particular arrangement. The bristle or brush strip can be arranged to move in the direction or in the counter direction of the working operation, across a driving roller (3) and across three or more guide rollers (4). The strip can be provided respectively as part strips on the narrow ends of the suction housing (2), and can be activated singly or together by foot or hand operation, by means of a trip spring mechanism or in other manner.
