<p>A hermetically sealed, magnetically operated electrical contact comprises a non-magnetic cylinder of relatively large diam., closed at each end by a disc. A fixed contact is mounted on one disc and an armature, movable towards the fixed contact by a magnetic field, on the other. The end of the cylinder is curved around one of the discs, a seal being formed by a ring of pref. fluoro-carbon elastomer.</p> |
