One measuring unit at least is provided for the determination and analysis of the refuse concerning its wt. and/or its vol. and/or its specific material characteristics and/or its purity concerning foreign material at the refuse wagon and/or at the refuse container which determines at least one of the specific characteristics of the refuse and converts this in to measurement variable. The latter effects or signals an assignment of the refuse or a fraction of it to a determined stowage compartment of the refuse vehicle. The refuse vehicle has ancillary means such as markings, magnets, sensors or similar for identifying the material characteristics of the refuse and/or the refuse vol. The refuse or the refuse fractions can be emptied in one or more intermediate containers or at least one intermediate floor of the refuse vehicle. The intermediate container or floor have measuring units for determining vol. and/or wt. or other characteristic refuse properties, and the measurement data determines or signals the assignment of the refuse in the stowage spaces in the refuse containers. USE/ADVANTAGE - Saves material of value from household refuse. Facilitates efficient recycling with identification and analysis of refuse. Allows cost factor to be better determined.
