The sensor has a moulded bore inside which the coil and the permanent magnets are mounted. The magnets are moulded directly into the housing. The coil is wound on a former and dropped over the magnetic core. The coil contacts are tags which enable the connecting wires to be attached. The sensor is sealed by a cover secured to the bore. The supply wires are moulded into the support arm. The complete sensor forms a weatherproof assembly.
