PURPOSE:To keep off any deterioration of a catalyzer as well as to secure a fundamental traction control function in an alternative manner by prohibiting or checking any engine power reducing control for traction control in a state that temperature in the catalyzer goes beyond the specified value, and shifting up the gear of a transmission. CONSTITUTION:A traction controller detects a wheel A with a driving wheel slip means B installed in a vehicle, controlling it with a means D so as to reduce the output for an engine C. In this case, temperature in an exhaust emission controlling catalyzer set up in an exhaust system of the engine C is detected by a means E. On the basis of output of this means E, when the catalyzer temperature exceeds the specified value, the said engine power reducing control is prohibited or checked even at time of detecting a drive wheel slip state, gears of a transmission F is controlled by the means D so as to have it shifted up. When the catalyzer temperature goes beyond the specified value with this shift-up control, a drive wheel slip is prolonged by the shift-up of the transmission F and, what is more, an abnormal temperature rise in the catalyzer is avoided, thus prevention against the catalyzer deterioration is made achievable. |
