The circuit comprises a voltage supply (B) and an output stage (HB) having an H-bridge configuration in the central arm of which the lamp (L) is disposed. Between the voltage source (B) and the output stage (HB) is interposed an intermediate stage including an inverter (INV) including a transformer (T). The secondary winding of this transformer is decoupled from the ground conductor (GND) and connected to an output rectifier circuit (D2, D3) likewise decoupled from the ground (GND). The output stage (HB) is connected to the output of this rectifier circuit (D2, D3). In one embodiment the lamp (L) has a terminal connected to the ground conductor (GND) with consequent advantages from the point of view of safety and the fact that it avoids de-ionisation of the lamp. <IMAGE> |
