摘要 The pressure difference between the whirling-disc chamber (17) and coolant intake chamber (21), and hence the piston stroke, can be varied by two magnetic valve units (38,39) which connect the outlet and intake chambers (22,21) respectively to the whirling-disc chamber (17). To reactivate the adjustment after a zero-power setting, a pivoting device (53) moves the disc (28) through a defined angle from its null position at right angles to the shaft (14). This may be achieved using an electromagnet (58), a memory-metal element or hydraulic/pneumatic actuator. ADVANTAGE - Long-term wear on moving parts is reduced, lubrication is guaranteed with available coolants and oils, and no magnetic clutch is required.
