PURPOSE:To make air aseptic by forming hypochlorite ion by a ceramics molded body containing SiO2, Al2O3, and MgO as structural components and further containing three or more kinds of oxides selected from oxides of Mn, Fe, Ti, Ca, K, Co, Cu, Cr, Ni, Sn, Ba, Y and Gd as functional components. CONSTITUTION:Ceramics containing SiO2, Al2O3, and MgO as structural components and further containing three or more kinds of oxides selected from oxides of Mn, Fe, Ti, Ca, K, Co, Cu, Cr, Ni, Sn, Ba, Y and Gd as functional components so that each of metal oxides is 0.1wt.% or more and the sum of them is 0.3-30.0wt.% is molded into a predetermined shape. This ceramic catalyst 7 is arranged to the air conditioning circuit (ducts 5, 6, distributing plate 4, dust collector 2) of an aseptic room and brought into contact with air whose humidity is preliminarily controlled by spraying chlorine-containing water to form hypochlorite ions and nascent oxygen in the air. This air is introduced into the aseptic room 1 to make air perfectly aseptic to clean the same. Since a large high capacity dust collector due to a conventional method is not required, installation cost is low and sterilization and dust removal can be carried out with high accuracy. |
