<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an air cleaning agent having mechanical strength, easy to mold and excellent in capacity for removing air pollutants by compounding an active substance to air pollutants and basic sulfate as effective components. CONSTITUTION:Water is added to a raw material mixture containing at least an active substance to air pollutants and basic sulfate to be kneaded therewith and the kneaded mixture is molded and dried to prepare an air cleaning agent. As a separate method, an aqueous solution of the active substance to air pollutants is infiltrated in a molded body based on basic sulfate and the impregnated one is dried to prepare the air cleaning agent. As the active substance to air pollutants, there are an oxidizing agent such as manganese peroxide or potassium iodide, a reducing agent such as ascorbic acid, phosphite or hypophosphite, active carbon, a silica gel or zeolite. As basic sulfate being a carrier supporting the active substance, there are basic magnesium sulfate, basic aluminum sulfate and satin white but basic magnesium sulfate is especially pref.</p> |
